Fake Fire Halloween Prop
How to make your own: first get a fan, I used a high powered metal fan, but a plain plastic box fan may work as well. go to the fabric store, find the section where they sell fabric for dance costumes. I chose a shiny yellow and orange colors, it's very important that these be light weight fabrics. Next figure out how wide you want your fire then cut out flame shapes out of the fabric attach the fabric to the grate on the fan using a hot glue gun. Please note that you cannot lay the fan directly on the ground, you must either build a box or a stand of some kind to keep it off the ground or buy a fan that can tilt (therefore already possessing a stand) I used a red light and positioned it under the fan for extra effect. To make it look more like a fire get some fake logs or real sticks and prop them up around the "fire"
